Rock 'n Roll Marathon in Phoenix

Last weekend the Kanes headed to Phoenix, Arizona for a little winter getaway.  75 degrees and sunny during our entire trip was just what the doctor ordered to beat those January winter blues!  And we also got to hang out with lots of different friends and family on this trip, which made it even better!


We stayed with our friends Leigh and Ben during the first half of our trip, it was so fun to catch up with them and they were such great hosts!  The last time we were out in Arizona it was for their wedding, so it was fun to just relax with them a little this time.

We were also out in Arizona for a little business... James had his fourth marathon to run!  We we also lucky enough to meet up with our college friend Allison, who works for the company that puts on the Rock n Roll Marathons.  Here we are at the expo the day before the race.

Then came the big race day... here is James at mile 25, looking good!

Then he ran over to me and gave me... and my belly... a kiss :)

He finished his fourth marathon with his personal best time: 4 hours 10 minutes!

Later it was time to hang out with more family.  My parents flew down to Arizona for a little vacation too, and we stayed with my Uncle Barry the last few days of our trip.  It was a great trip to Arizona!
